DINNER & A MOVIE - FREE!

As a ministry to the community, on the last Friday night in February @ 7 PM Cartecay Baptist Church will be showing the movie FIREPROOF. This is a wonderful movie with a great message for families and couples. A nursery will be provided for babies. The pastor will also be cooking a free spaghetti supper at 6 PM . Everyone is invited, but we need a count for supper, so call 706-635-1090 and leave your name and the number of reservations you are making on the voice mail. Reservations can also be made on the church web site: www.cartecay.com. Everything is free (donations will be accepted).

CED Solutions in Marietta plans to provide a FREE, 5 day hands on Microsoft Office Computer Training Course to Unemployed Workers! The course starts with an introduction to the PC, then includes Word and Excel Training. The course is normally $195. per day but if you sign up and supply proof that you are unemployed, its FREE! 3 training classes have already been scheduled: March 2-6th, April 6-10th, and May 18-22nd. They plan to add more classes if more than 1000 people sign up. Their desire is to give back to the community and help out of work residents find jobs. Why is not the president of the Southern Baptist Convention called the "Big Dipper"? Did you ever wonder how many people never join a Baptist Church because they insist on immersion as the only acceptable mode of baptism? Isn't it the symbolism that is important? Are Baptists "hung-up" on something that is not an essential thing in God's eyes?
